If he had been born at a different time in history, George Clooney could have been managing his gray hair with plants, minerals, and insects. There is evidence that early man used these things to paint his hair and skin.

As a youth, he worked in a tobacco field and suffered Bell’s palsy for several months, crediting the experience for making him a stronger person. As an adult, he spent a short amount of time living in a friend’s closet and riding a bicycle to auditions. After making it as an actor, he credits his pet pig for saving him in 1994 by waking him up during the Northridge, California earthquake. Clooney is now 55 years old and wears it very well.


Jamie Lee Curtis

Best known for her part in the cult classic movie, Halloween, the scream queen was born in Los Angeles, California. She made her movie debut in the 1980s but has starred in several movies since then. She is also a well-known children’s author.

She started out as a dirty blonde, and later went to brunette. Now, she is 57 years old and gorgeously gray.

Had she been born in ancient Egypt, she might have used henna, indigo, sage,or chamomile to darken or add a red tone in managing her gray hair, since it was considered a social faux pas to have gray hair back then.

Mrs. Mirren has been acting since she was 18, first on stage, and later on film. Born in 1945 to a Russian family in England, she was first interested in acting at the age of 13, but was persuaded by her parents to pursue other interests. She was later guided back to it at the age of 18.

If this were a period close to the 1960’s, McBride may have chosen to use a dye that was derived from diluting tar coal with alcohol. The dye had a purple hue but it went on to become part of the “dye at home” revolution.
